Star wide receiver Davante Adams has been traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the New York Jets. The Jets acquired Adams in exchange for a conditional third-round draft pick, which could become a second-round pick, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Adams will once again join forces with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, his longtime teammate from their time together with the Green Bay Packers. The duo was a dominant force in Green Bay before Adams was traded to the Raiders in 2022, where he signed a five-year, $140 million contract, with $65.7 million guaranteed.
During his time with the Raiders, Adams continued to prove himself as one of the NFL’s top receivers. Over 37 games, he racked up 221 catches, 2,869 receiving yards, and 23 touchdowns. In his first season with the team, he led with 100 catches, 1,516 yards, and 14 touchdowns. Even in 2023, despite a slight dip in yards per game, he managed 1,100 receiving yards, 103 receptions, and 8 touchdowns.
Now reunited with Rodgers, Adams is expected to make a significant impact on the Jets’ offense, as they look to strengthen their receiving corps and make a playoff push. Fans are excited to see this dynamic duo back in action!
